The Jarvis Ranch Name is Synonymous with World Champion Paint Hunt-Seat Horses. We have been involved with the APHA breed for over 37 years and our experience shows! Our years of expertise and instinctive “true horseman” sense have enabled us to consistently recognize true excellence within the breed. We take pride in our ability to discover the highest caliber show horses and ensure these exceptional horses pass on their superior traits to the next generation through our selective breeding program, year after year.
The Legacy Begins...In 1993, Deb & Eric Jarvis purchased Red Charisma, who currently holds the record as the number one leading sire of hunters on APHA record and is currently second on the 2004 Leading Performance Sire list. Fortunately, Red Charisma was able to pass the torch to I Got Charisma (Hank) before his premature loss in 2000. I Got Charisma has continued the legacy of Red Charisma and promises to exceed even his sires contributions to the Paint Horse breed. In the show arena, "Hank’s" credits include a Superior in hunter under saddle and Registers of Merit in pleasure driving and hunter hack. “Hank” has also garnered multiple first placings and top 10 finishes at the 2003 and 2004 APHA world championship shows. With four foal crops on the ground,
"Hank" is surpassing all expectations as a sire, as proven by their
recent show results. I GOT CHARISMA offspring have been Champion or
Reserve at every major show attended since January of 2007. His foals have long,
flowing strides, pleasant personalities and abundant athletic talent.
Jarvis Ranch Offers Comprehensive Equine Services including breeding, training, showing and sales. Throughout the years, we have been associated with over 60 APHA & PtHA World Champions and have stood as many as 5 stallions during the breeding season. Jarvis
Ranch, located in Valley View Texas,
is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Eric & Deb Jarvis.
Deb acquired her first Paint Horse in 1968 and earned a Youth Champion
Award in 1971. She showed her first World Champion Hunt Seat Horse in
1978. Since marrying in 1991, both Deb and Eric have continued to work
passionately within the equine industry. In addition to handling all the
demands of the ranch, Deb manages to judge over 70 days a year. Eric also
manages to squeeze in some time in the ring and has shown as an amateur in
roping events, western pleasure and recently added pleasure driving to his
repertoire.
